Job Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of Cantonese dishes according to established recipes and menu requirements
Plan menus and prepare daily lunch and dinner specials in coordination with management
Develop new recipes and dishes to enhance the restaurant’s menu offerings
Determine appropriate portion sizes and estimate food requirements for meal preparation
Inspect kitchen equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness and proper food safety practices
Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality control
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering food supplies and ingredients
Check incoming deliveries to ensure correct quantity and quality of ingredients
Coordinate kitchen activities with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service
Supervise and provide training to cook helpers and kitchen assistants when required
