Senior Homecare by Angels Milton has an immediate opening for an Medical Administrative Assistant (TEER: 13112) at our location in Milton, Ontario.

 

As an Medical Administrative Assistant (TEER: 13112), you will perform some or all of the following duties:

·       Prepare spreadsheets and documents for review by entering and formatting electronically derived medical reports and correspondences.

·       Organize and schedule medical appointments and receive and communicate messages from medical staff and patients.

·       Answering phone calls and directing to appropriate persons.

·       Record and prepare draft agendas, minutes of meetings.

·       Order supplies and maintain inventory

·       Help patients in completing forms, documents and case details.

·       Complete and process, insurance and other claim forms.

·       Prepare financial statements and billing.

·       Maintain contact information of employees, patients, suppliers and external partners.

·       Initiate and maintain a manual and computerized information filling system with medical files and records.

·       Respond to queries in person, via telephone or email

·       Determine and establish office procedures and routines.

·       May supervise and other staff team in procedures and use of ongoing software.

·       Greet visitors, patients and direct them to appropriate persons.

Qualifications:     

  • Completion of secondary school is usually required.
  • Completion of a one- or two-year college program or other specialized courses for secretaries or medical secretaries is usually required.

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (40 hours/week)

Compensation:  $ 22.70 / hour
