UNIQ Trading Corp is seeking a Director of Logistics work at their London location.

UNIQ Trading Corp is a Canadian logistics company supporting modern-day businesses with logistics and transportation services.

In order to ensure an effective flow of goods and on-time delivery to customers, the Director of Logistics is responsible for overseeing the delivery of freight to the warehouse, freight to customers, and warehouse operations. Directly responsible for tracking monthly budgets, generating annual projections, and ensuring timely payment to third parties for Logistics budgets and Value Leadership. Overseas operations and manages partnerships with third parties in warehousing and transportation and contract negotiations. Leads the Canadian logistics network strategy to support service, cost, and company growth.

Director of Logistics Key Responsibilities:

• Leads the logistics team and 3rd party logistics providers to deliver goods efficiently and on time.
• Manages freight, storage, and handling budgets while delivering cost-saving initiatives through rates, contracts, and/or operational efficiencies.
• Ensures appropriate POs and accounting processes are executed with vendors and 3rd parties to ensure timely and accurate payment for services.
• Accountable for the short to the long-term effectiveness of the Canadian logistics network to ensure appropriate space, operations, and freight movement inbound and outbound.
• Working in-sync with job duties to deliver on customer requirements, seasonal business targets, and other unique requirements.
• Ensure appropriate systems, processes and quality standards are in place to service the business and customer requirements.
• Drives enhanced logistics analytics using transportation and warehousing data to support quality decision-making and to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in administration, business, and other logistics-related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in ‘Business Administration’.
• High level of written and oral communication skills.
• High level of composure and self-management skills in order to demonstrate poise under pressure.
• Sound analytical skills in order to identify problems and solutions or recommendations.
• Strong negotiation skills in order to arrive at agreements with 3rd parties.
• Particular attention to detail and discipline in order to ensure operations are carried out successfully.
