SHIVJIN INC. O/A BROCKVILLE BARBURRITO has immediate opening for an experienced a Line Cook (TEER 3: 63200) at our location in Brockville, Ontario.

As a Line Cook (TEER 3: 63200) you will perform some or all of the following duties:

·        Prepare and cook entire meals and/ or dishes for individuals

·        Prepare specific food items for patients as recommended by dietitian or chef

·        supervise kitchen operations;

·        keep track of food, supplies, and equipment inventory and records;

·        clean the kitchen and work area;

·        supervise and assign kitchen assistants; plan menus, calculate portion sizes, estimate food requirements and costs;

·        monitor and order supplies.

Qualifications:

·        Completion of secondary school is usually required.

·        Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety for 1 to 2 two years of cooking experience is required.

·        Effective supervising and training skills and attention to detail;

·        Proven analytical skills with ability to tackle problems systematically to diagnose issues and produce effective recommendations;

·        Multi-tasker and effective time management.

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (40 hours/week)

Compensation: CA $ 23.00 /hour
