Job Duties:
Train and supervise staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
Demonstrate new cooking techniques to junior cooks
Check kitchen equipment to make sure they are always in good condition
Mass production for specialty food items for the central kitchen
Manage stock of ingredients and kitchen supplies, place orders when needed
Determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, monitor and order supplies
Improve current menu by creating new recipes and introduce new styles dishes
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
Inspect kitchens and food service areas
Requirements:
Completion of secondary education
Chef training certificate
Minimum of 2-year commercial Chinese cuisine cooking experience...
