Job Duties:

A Forklift Operator has many duties and responsibilities that are essential to maximizing the factory or warehouse workflow. Here are some of the common duties and responsibilities that a Forklift Operator should be able to perform:

• Using a desk top computer and MRP (Material Requirement Planning) software.
• Loading, unloading, and unpacking corrugated materials from trailer or onto production conveyor.
• Label and sort incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Relocate items within the warehouse or factory using scanners or tablets (electronically)
• Operate a forklift or other machinery used for transporting or shipping materials.
• Track inventory of incoming and outgoing items (As directed).
• Carefully handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials whenever necessary.
• Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking.
• Complete proper circle checks of your battery-operated lift truck or other.
• Microsoft Excel/Word basics

 Cascades Containerboard Packaging ULC. Is looking for individuals to maintain/operate the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Assist in physical inventories. Complete daily inspection of equipment (Lift truck Circle Checks).

 Skills, Experience and Education Required:

• No education required
• Forklift operator certificate is an asset or satisfactory completion of a program within the first 30 days of employment.
• Six months warehouse experience is an asset
• Six months forklift operation experience is an asset
