We are seeking One (1) Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Indian Street Food Company! You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and dedicate time to expanding our clientele base to establish the restaurant's brand and reputation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food
- Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
- Establish work schedules and procedures
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
- Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
- May participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets
- May plan menus and determine related food and labour costs.
Terms of Employment:
- Salary: $16 per hour
- Permanent, Full Time/ 40.00 Hours per week, Day, Evening, Weekend
- Start date: immediately
Skills requirements:
- Language: English
- Education: No education requirement; Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline an asset but not a condition of employment
- Experience: minimum 2 years of experience in food preparation or service
- Previous experience in both Curry and Tandoor section
- Knowledge of cost systems
- Passion for food
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
