Kitchen Helper

Sushi Yori in Prince George is looking for a Kitchen Helper to join our team.

Position: Kitchen Helper (Full-time, Permanent)

Number of Positions: 1

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Hourly Wage: C$15.65 per hour

Work Hours: 30.00 ~ 40.00 hours per week

Vacation: 10 business days paid vacation per year or 4% gross salary

Language of Work: English

Work Location: Prince George, BC

Main Job Duties:

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruits, etc.
• Prepare, heat and finish simple food items such as tempura, gyoza and takoyaki
• Receive, unpack and store ingredients and supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
• Clean and sanitize kitchen and workstations including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
• Maintain kitchen and work areas clean by sweeping and mopping floors and removing garbage.
• Sharpen kitchen knives
• Perform other duties to assist cook and kitchen staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• No degree, certificate or diploma is required, but minimum completion of Grade 10 is needed.
• No experience is required. On-the-job training is provided.
