Career Opportunity: Assessment Clinician

The Wishing Star is the destination private practice in Metro Vancouver for child-related support services. Our team offers children, and their families compassionate and skillful support to address their needs through counselling, psychoeducational assessments, workshops and support groups.

The Wishing Star is seeking a dynamic, creative clinician to join our thriving multi-disciplinary team on a full-time basis in sunny White Rock, BC. The successful candidate will possess an integrative, developmentally-informed and family-centred approach to assessment.

In the position of Assessment clinician, your primary areas of responsibility include:

Meeting with clients as directed for assessment completion;
Continuing to be informed of clinic’s approach to service provision through various professional
development activities;
Participating in team supervision, growth, and development activities;
Participating in marketing opportunities;
Contributing to office environment and team culture;
Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned to you by the Clinic from time to time.

Registered Psychologist (PhD level) and eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of BC is ideal but not necessary.

  • Minimum masters level training in school psychology or related field.
  • Enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Eligible for Level C test administration.
  • Experience with psychoeducational assessment administration and formulation, report writing, and parent and school communication.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents and families.
