Gurdial Singh & Sons Farm Ltd. has an immediate opening of 2 General farm workers (NOC: 8431) for at our location in Abbotsford, BC.
As a general farm worker will perform some or all of the following duties:
- Plant, crops as well as harvest them accordingly to schedule.
- Prepare feed for Farm animal
- Milk cows according to provide instructions.
- Assist in feeding programs
- Perform preventative and regular maintain ace on farm equipment and tools.
- Follow food safety and security and animal bio-security procedures
- Identify disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
- Examine produce for quality and prepare for market
- Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops
- Maintain or assist in the maintenance of facilities and farm infrastructure including cleaning stables, barns, barnyards and pens.
- Operate and service farm machinery and tools.
- Monitor farm progress and keep accurate records.
Qualifications:
· Completion of secondary school is may require.
· Basic farm knowledge, usually obtained from working on a family farm, may be required for employment.
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (40 hours/week)
Compensation: $ 19.00
