Location: Mississauga, ON L5S 1S1

Salary $23.00/hour

Job Requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Worksite environment: Noisy, Dusty

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Work setting

Clay, glass, and stone processing plant

Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves, Mask

Personal suitability: Dependability, Flexibility, Judgement, Team player

Tasks:

Transport raw materials, finished products, and scrap materials through the plant, Feed conveyors, crushers, and other equipment, Open valves and start pumps, Perform other activities to assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing, Clean machines and immediate work areas, Load and unload vehicles using forklift or dolly

Equipment and machinery experience:

Forklift, Powered lifting equipment

Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking
