Dispatch Logistician

VRP Logistics Inc. has an immediate opening for Dispatch Logistician at our location in Woodstock, Ontario.

As Dispatch Logistician, you will perform some or the following duties:

• Establish work schedules and procedures
• Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments and monitor the movement of shipments
• Make sure that shipments are delivered and received on time
• Prepare and submit reports, Resolve work related problems
• Train workers in duties and policies,
• Co-ordinate, assign and review work
• Prepare and process custom documents for International and Canada wide shipments
• Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
• Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary school is required (Educational background in Supply Chain Management an asset)
• 1 years to less than 2 years of experience providing customer service in a similar work environment
• Knowledge of the transportation industry and North American geography are considered assets.
• Good command of MS Office (Excel and Word) with an ability to quickly learn new software.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-pace, deadline-oriented environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Exceptional negotiation, decision making and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude with good people skills.

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time (40-44 hours/week)

Compensation: $27.00/hour
