BarBurrito is look for 2 Cooks to join our team. Successful candidates will be required to prepare, and cook food items to ensure the highest quality according to brand standards. The cooks will keep the kitchen organized and running efficiently, ensuring proper food handling, sanitation and following food storage procedures.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Prepare and coordinate the preparation and portioning of all food items (chopping and peeling vegetables, prepare proteins for cooking and prepare condiments)
· Prepare menu items using oven, range and deep fryers
· Ensure all food and condiments are prepared to the highest quality in accordance with established brand standards
· Train kitchen staff as required in the preparation of all foods and condiments
· Direct, motivate and lead kitchen staff in the preparation of menu items and condiments
· Ensure all health and food safety protocols are adhered to in the kitchen to meet required health code and brand standards
· Ensure sufficient quantities of food and condiments are prepared to meet expected customer demand
· Estimate and recommend amounts of required ingredients to support restaurant service demand
· Maintain clean kitchen and work area to meet health and safety guidlines
· Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working order and inform management of repairs required as soon as possible.
