Wage: $19 per hour
Workload: 30h/week (Minimum)

We are a seafood restaurant located in the heart of Oakville providing outstanding service for our community since 1999. We pride ourselves in the delivery of fresh seafood daily and excellent customer service, so you as Restaurant Supervisor will ensure we keep promoting the culture, values and mission of The Mermaid, providing prompt service and ensuring quality of all products.
Job Description:
Direct restaurant operations on responsibility for guest service and brand standards execution
Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen, dining areas and restroom
Ensure food service and quality control
Maintain records of stock, sales and wastage
Plan restaurant menu and determine food costs
Establish work schedule for staff and monitor their performance
Organize open and closing duties as assigned
Address customers' complaints or concerns
Deliver excellent customer service
Plan and arrange catering with clients
Participate in marketing plans and implementation
Plan social media posts regarding new promotions or features
Education and Experience Requirement:
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in the food service industry
Proven experience managing or supervising a team
Post-secondary education (Bachelor’s degree of College Diploma)
Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
Ability to direct the work of others
Experience with social media and marketing strategies are desired
Fluent in English and additional languages are an asset
