Job Description:
Consultation:
- Engaging with clients to understand their business objectives, financial structures, and tax-related challenges. Providing expert advice on tax planning, compliance, and optimization strategies.
- Consulting clients on compliance and quality audits reports and formulating quality assurance processes and standards.
- Managing multiple client engagements and collaborating with cross-functional teams to leverage the firm’s expertise in various tax specialties.
Strategy Development:
- Conducting business viability assessments and proposing improvement methods, systems and procedures in different areas including operations, taxation, and human resources.
- Providing advice and guidance on the implementation of mergers and acquisitions, customer relationship management, human resource transformation, enterprise strategy transformation, finance transformation and operations transformation.
- Staying abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to help clients proactively adapt and implement innovative strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Risk Assessment/Management:
- Evaluating potential tax risks and proposing mitigation strategies to safeguard clients from regulatory issues.
- Conducting thorough risk assessments on various tax-related activities and preparing detailed reports outlining tax strategies, findings, and recommendations for clients.
Training and Supervision:
- Duties could involve supervising and training contracted workers or clerical staff.
Qualifications/Skillsets
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in business, economics, finance, or a related field. Additionally, any Diploma and/or Certification on trade & business.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in management consulting.
- Demonstrated integrity and work ethic along with sound decision making and creative thinking capabilities.
- Proficiency in English.
- A good understanding of the global market, trade and taxation, foreseeing the trends & issues, identifying the opportunity & challenges and the factors that affect stakeholders’ interests.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle complex data and situations.
- Good communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
