Housekeeper

Location: Vancouver, BC

Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $20/hour, 10 days’ vacation annually

Hours: Minimum 30 hours/week, you may occasionally need to work during holidays or weekends from time to time, some flexibility is required.

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced housekeeper to join our household in Vancouver, BC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our home, as well as performing various household tasks. This role requires someone who is physically fit, trustworthy, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Clean the inside of the home and the immediate external areas.
• Perform detailed kitchen cleaning, including dishes, and cleaning the inside and outside of the fridge, cupboards, oven, dishwasher, pantry, counters, and floors.
• Clean the outside of the oven, fridge, and dishwasher.
• Handle laundry duties, including washing, drying, and ironing clothing and household items.
• Prepare and serve meals, including cooking and serving during special events for family and guests.
• Conduct grocery shopping and household errands.
• Keep household supplies fully stocked.
• Provide pet care and plant care (both garden and household plants).
• Make beds and change linens regularly.

Qualifications:

Experience working as a housekeeper in a private home or a similar setting is preferred. You should know how to use cleaning products, tools, and techniques effectively. Basic cooking skills are a plus. Physical fitness is essential, as you will need to lift, bend, and stand for long periods while performing household tasks. Trustworthiness and discretion are crucial, as you will be responsible for maintaining the privacy of household information.
