Marseres professional corporation has immediate opening for a Financial Manager (TEER: 10010) at our location in Hamilton, Ontario.

As a Financial Manager (TEER: 10010), you will perform some or all of the following duties:

·         Arrange, oversee, manage, and assess the functioning of an accounting, audit, or other financial division.

·         Create and put into effect the company's financial policies, systems, and procedures.

·         Create or oversee the creation of financial management reports, summaries, cost-benefit evaluations, and other financial statements.

·         Organize the budgeting and financial planning process, and evaluate and adjust estimates.

·         Oversee the creation and application of models for financial simulation.

·         Provide senior managers and other department or regional managers with recommendations for modifications to operating systems, budgets, and other financial control functions after evaluating financial reporting systems, accounting practices, and investment activities.

·         Hire, arrange, develop, and oversee employees

·         Serve as a point of contact for the company's investors, shareholders, and outside financial experts.

·         Set criteria for investment activity profitability and manage mergers and acquisitions.

·         Notify and report to senior management concerning any trends that are critical to the organization's financial performance.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, commerce or a related field is required.
• A master's degree in business administration (concentration in finance), or another master's level management program may be required.
• Several years of experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, financial planning and analysis or other financial activities are required.

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (35 hours/week)

Compensation:  $60/hour
