General Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist mechanics in conducting thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify mechanical issues and determine the required repairs.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks, such as changing oil, replacing filters, and lubricating components, under the guidance and supervision of mechanics.
- Assist with the repair and replacement of faulty parts, including brakes, suspension systems, electrical systems, and engines.
- Help in disassembling and reassembling vehicle components, ensuring proper handling and storage of parts.
- Clean and organize work areas, tools, and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Support mechanics in conducting road tests to evaluate the performance of repaired vehicles and ensure their proper functioning.
- Assist in ordering, receiving, and organizing inventory of parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize accidents or injuries in the workplace.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on vehicles and equipment.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills related to new automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Requirements
College Certificate or Diploma, or equivalent experience
1-2 years work experience
