Veterinary Technician

Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital focusing on small and exotic animals is looking to grow and strengthen our team by adding a full-time Veterinary Technician.

At Beacon Pet Hospital we are looking to add to our family-like environment individuals WHO:

·       Collect samples and perform other laboratory tests;

·       Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery;

·       Produce diagnostic radiographs;

·       Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery;

·       Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian;

·       Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian;

·       Counsel clients on animal health care;

·       Conduct and assist in laboratory research;

·       May perform a variety of office management and clerical duties;

·       Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with animal dentistry;

·       Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals;

·       Provide wound and bandage care.

·       Contribute to an engaging hospital environment and positive team dynamic.

·       Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with the team and clients.

·       Strong technical skills, such as: surgical preparation and patient recovery, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture and catheter placement, pharmacy, etc.

·       Is a motivated individual who loves to learn and be engaged in their work.

·       Would enjoy working in a friendly environment establishing long term relationships with wonderful clientele.

·       Has exceptional communication skills, great English language is required;

·       Is a detail oriented, organized person
