Sahara Capital Group Inc. has an immediate opening for a Mortgage Underwriter (TEER 1: 11109) at our location in Brampton, ON.
As a Mortgage Underwriter, you would be required to perform some or all of the following duties:
- Review and analyze mortgage applications based upon supporting documents, and credit information to determine loan eligibility.
-Perform risk assessment by analyzing various loan products
- Analyze applicants’ financial profiles including income, employment history, assets, liabilities, and creditworthiness.
- Ensure compliance with internal lending policies, industry guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Negotiate with third parties to get best financial deal or loan for clients
- Verify accuracy and completeness of documentation provided by clients and brokers.
- Identify potential risks and recommend approval, suspension, or decline of applications.
- Communicate effectively with mortgage brokers, clients, and lenders and clarify conditions and resolve discrepancies.
- Structure mortgage files to optimize approval chances while maintaining compliance and risk standards.
- Maintain accurate records and detailed notes for audit and compliance purposes.
- Stay current with industry trends, lender guidelines, and mortgage regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to meet turnaround time expectations and support a smooth client experience.
Qualifications:
· Mortgage underwriter require a Mortgage Agent-Level 1 license
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (30-40 hours/week)
Compensation: $ 36.00 /hour
