VESPA V.E.L PRODUCTS LTD. has immediate opening for an Industrial Mechanic (TEER: 72400) at our location in Brampton, Ontario.
As an Industrial Mechanic (TEER: 72400), you will perform some or all of the following duties:
· Examine blueprints, schematics, and schematic drawings to identify work practices.
· Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators
· Make adjustments to machines and replace or repair any broken parts.
· Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to find out and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
· Prior to installation, assemble machinery and equipment with hand and power tools, as well as welding equipment.
· Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning and lubrication.
· Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
· Building foundations for machines or assigning other staff to do so
· Set up, diagnose, and maintain vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, and programmable logic controllers.
· Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
Qualifications:
· Completion of secondary school and training courses or a vocational program is required.
· On the job training will be provided if already have at least three to four months experience in the same field.
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (35 hours/week)
Compensation: $ 36.10 / hour
