Nationwide Logistics Inc. is looking for a Transportation Coordinator (NOC 13201 TEER 3) to join the team at the Milford, NS location.
The Transportation Coordinator at Nationwide Logistics is responsible for ensuring goods and materials move through the supply chain to their intended destination in a timely and efficient manner. The role involves maintaining open communication with customers and drivers to communicate shipment needs and ensure products arrive in good condition. The role requires application of planning skills and attention to details to optimize delivery routes, plan shipments, create delivery schedules and monitor the safe delivery of items.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Compile offers and instructions received from customers
• Oversee operational logistics of the organization
• Plan and organize operational logistics of the organization
• Perform routine clerical duties
• Prepare and submit reports
• Arrange for maintenance and repair work on Company trucks and delivery vans as required
• Maintain work records and logs
• Prepare and maintain progress reports and other reports as required by Management
• Operate radio equipment
• Process and transmit information and instructions to co-ordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment
• Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment
• Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Required:
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Good English reading and writing ability
• 7 months upto 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate accurately.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail
Salary: $27.56 per hour
Position: Minimum of 1 year, full time and overtime as needed
Work hours: Minimum 30 hours/week Monday to Friday, some weekends and overtime
Work Location: Based in Milford, NS.
Transportation: Responsible for own transportation to and from work site.
