Jaylaxmi Inc. has an immediate opening for Bookkeeper (NOC: 12200) at our location in smith falls, Ontario.
As a Bookkeeper (NOC: 12200) you will perform some or all of the following duties:
• Created simple reports to track sales, food costs, and operating expenses.
• Checked and balanced bank accounts, credit cards, and point-of-sale records for accuracy.
• Took care of payroll by calculating wages, tips, and deductions, and paying staff by cheque or direct deposit.
• Completed and submitted government forms, including taxes, pension payments, and workers’ compensation reports.
• Recorded financial transactions and kept journals and general ledger accounts up to date.
• Kept daily financial records using accounting software and manual logs.
• Prepared basic financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets, for management.
• Paid regular business expenses, including rent, utilities, suppliers, and vendor bills.
Qualifications:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field or completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting program (e.g., Chartered Accounting, Certified General Accounting) or courses in accounting or bookkeeping combined with 1-2 years of experience as a financial or accounting clerk are required.
