Job Duties:
• Inspect equipment for proper performance, identify faults and malfunctions.
• Adjust equipment & repair / replace defective parts, components, or systems according to the scope of work.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance and commissioning of new equipment.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists. Staying current with industry and technical best practices and requirements.
• Identify and report any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents and/or near misses.
• Perform risk assessments prior to each task.
• Maintain hand tools and equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain an orderly work area and ensure housekeeping requirements are met.
Skills Required:
• Excellent proficiency in reading hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical issues with mining equipment.
• Must be able to obtain the Driver’s License.
Experience Required:
• 3-5 years related experience with mining equipment (surface) including drills.
• Previous experience with Sandvik, Komatsu and Caterpillar equipment.
• Red Seal certification is an asset
Education Required:
• Trade or Vocational Diploma or equivalent technical experience.
Wage & Hours: $ 61.94
• Number of hours per day: 12
• Number of days per week: 14 days on x 14 days off
• Number of hours per week: 84 per week, 168 per rotation, OT averaging permit in place for role
• Overtime starts after how many hours: 12 hrs per day
• Shift rotation (as applicable): 14 days on x 14 days off
• Bonuses: Up to 10% surface bonus, travel allowance if residing outside of Dubreuilville
