Job Duties:
• Identify unsafe condition in underground headings;
• Install/Repair services in underground headings;
• Install ground support using mechanized bolting equipment;
• Keep track of all work progress and communicate to supervisor’s status of workplace;
• Perform assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner;
• Must be able to perform preoperational inspections on equipment and operate in an efficient and safe manner; and
• All other duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
• Accreditation of basic common core would be an asset;
• Accreditation of specialty common core would be an asset;
• Ability to comprehend engineering prints;
• Self – motivated, ability to work alone;
• Strong Safety focus;
• Preferred candidates will be proficient in the installation of ground support with mechanized bolter.
Experience Required:
• Formal Training will be provided;
• 2-3 years of previous experience in underground mining operations;
Education Required:
• Secondary school or equivalent experience
Wage & Hours: $ 41.91
• Number of hours per day:10
• Number of days per week: 7 on 7 off
• Number of hours per week: 140 per month
• Overtime starts after how many hours: 70 per week (overtime is applicable for any hours after regular scheduled hours are satisfied)
• Shift rotation (as applicable): 7 days on x 7 days off
• Bonuses: underground development bonus as applicable from $28.24/h to $32.34/h
