1001136678 Ontario Corp.O/A A TO Z REHAB AND WELLNESS CENTRE INC. has immediate opening for 1 Physiotherapy Assistant (TEER 3: 32109), at our location in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

As a Physiotherapy Assistant), you will perform some or all the following duties:

·        Collect and analyse information from clients' file upon referral from the physiotherapist or physician.

·        Utilize a range of treatment methods, such as massage, prescribed exercises, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, and heat or cold therapy, to support patients in meeting their rehabilitation objectives

·        Assist patients under the guidance of physiotherapists or occupational therapists by implementing treatment programs, including thermotherapy, traction, hydrotherapy, and electrotherapy, to help patients recover from injuries or disabilities and improve their ability to perform daily activities independently.

• Advise clients on postures, lifestyle and exercises to help them improve their physical condition.
• Physiotherapy assistants and occupational therapy assistants
• Collaborate with physiotherapists or physicians to design, carry out, and oversee treatment programs for patients.

Qualifications:

Valid First Aid and CPR Certification (Canada) required.

 healthcare experience is considered an asset.

Strong knowledge of patient care, rehabilitation support, and healthcare safety practices. Good communication, teamwork, and patient-handling skills

Physiotherapy assistants require completion of a two-year physical therapy assistant (PTA) college program, or a two-year rehabilitation therapy assistant program and supervised practical training.

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (35hours/week)

Compensation: CAD$ 36.20 /hour
