Term of employment: Full-time, Permanent Position

Job location: Travel across Canada and USA with base at 7717 Beedie Way, Delta BC Canada V4G0A5

Shifts: Weekdays, Weekends, Evenings

Salary: $36.60 per hour for 40 hours per week, overtime after 60 hours per week at the rate of 1.5 times.

Job requirements:

·       Credentials: Class 1 or A driver's license with air brake endorsement.

·       Education: High School

·       Experience: No experience required. On the job training will be provided

·       Additional Skills:Basic English is required to understand road signs and fill logbook

·       Be able to work in individuals or in a team

·       Clean driving abstract

Duties:

·       Operate and drive trucks /trailer to transport goods and material to destinations all over Canada and USA.

·       Oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, and safety and security of cargo.

·       Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment.

·       Maintain logbook, record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other information in logbook.

·       Obtain special permits to cross Canada/USA borders.

·       Coordinate with dispatcher.

·       Perform emergency roadside repairs.
