We are seeking a Business Methods Analyst to analyze operational procedures, evaluate business methods, and support process improvement initiatives across the company’s logistics and transportation operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing organizational procedures, identifying operational inefficiencies, and recommending improvements to systems, workflows, and business processes that support dispatch, fleet operations, logistics coordination, compliance, and corporate functions.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate managerial methods, organizational structures, and operational procedures related to transportation, dispatch, fleet coordination, and logistics operations.
- Conduct operational studies and workflow assessments to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of existing business processes, reporting systems, and operational programs.
- Develop and recommend improvements to operational methods, procedures, and workflow systems to enhance productivity, service quality, and operational performance.
- Evaluate dispatch activities, logistics coordination procedures, compliance processes, and reporting mechanisms to identify opportunities for operational optimization.
- Develop process documentation, workflow analyses, operational reports, and recommendations for management regarding efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with operations, fleet management, dispatch, customer service, compliance, and administrative departments to support implementation of revised operational procedures and process improvements.
- Participate in organizational improvement initiatives including process mapping, workflow redesign, and implementation of updated operational standards and procedures.
- Monitor operational performance indicators and prepare analytical reports related to logistics efficiency, workflow effectiveness, and service performance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures and operational service standards across logistics and transportation functions.
- Provide guidance and training to staff regarding updated operational procedures, workflow improvements, and process implementation initiatives.
Requirements:
Education and Experience Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, operations management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may also be considered.
- One to two years of experience in business analysis, transportation operations, logistics coordination, process improvement, or a related field
- Experience within the transportation and logistics industry is considered an asset.
Required Skills and Technical Knowledge
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of logistics and transportation operations including dispatch coordination, fleet operations, freight movement, and workflow processes.
- Understanding of process improvement methodologies, workflow analysis, and operational optimization techniques.
- Experience working with ERP systems, transportation management systems (TMS), or operational software is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
