Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and care for one child in the employer’s residence
- Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
- Help the child with homework and educational activities
- Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
- Wash, iron, and maintain the child’s clothing and household linens
- Discipline the child according to methods requested by the parents
- Instruct the child in personal hygiene and social development
- Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the child
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Organize activities for the child, such as games and outings
- Tend to the emotional well-being of the child
- Take the child to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to childcare
- Shop for food and household supplies
Employment Requirements:
- Secondary(high) school graduation certificate
- At least 7 months of related child caregiving experience required
- Responsible, reliable, and organized
- Ability to communicate in English
