One (1) Pipe Welder Needed in Toronto, ON

D.D.M Mobile Welding Ltd. is looking for One experienced (1) Pipe Welder to perform the following duties:

• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and welding process specifications
• Weld pipes and piping systems using various welding techniques and equipment
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
• Operate flame-cutting equipment and metal shaping machines
• Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal components
• Determine weldability of materials
• Perform welding on industrial, commercial and civil construction projects
• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and specifications
• Perform pipe fabrication, installation and repair work
• Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air) (AOC)
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and regulations

Welding Techniques:

• GTAW (TIG)

• GMAW/MIG-MAG

• SMAW (Stick)

• FCAW

• Pipe Welding

• Structural Welding

• Carbon Arc Gouging

Equipment Experience:

• Pipe welding equipment

• Arc welding equipment

• Gas welding equipment

• Plasma cutting equipment

• Grinding and fabrication equipment

• Hoisting and rigging equipment

Transportation/Travel Information:

• Vehicle supplied by employer
• Willing to travel regularly throughout the GTA

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

• Physically demanding

• Handling heavy materials

• Fast-paced environment

• Attention to detail

• Hand-eye coordination

• Standing for extended periods

• Overtime as required

Language:

• English

Education:

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent experience

Terms of Employment:

·         Salary: $44 per hour

·         Permanent, Full Time/ 30-40 Hours per week

·         Start date: immediately

·         Benefits: Group Insurance

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in pipe welding, industrial fabrication, pressure piping, or related welding work.

• Experience interpreting technical drawings and welding specifications.

• Experience with industrial piping systems and field installation work.

• Experience with GTAW (TIG), SMAW, and GMAW welding processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with pressure vessels and high-pressure piping systems.

• Experience working under TSSA, CWB, ASME, or equivalent industry standards.

• Experience in heavy industrial, infrastructure, tunnelling, manufacturing, or civil construction environments.
