Two (2) Welders needed in Toronto, ON

D.D.M Mobile Welding Ltd. is looking for Two Welders to perform the following duties:

• Interpret welding process specifications
• Operate manual or semi-automatic fully automated welding equipment
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
• Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
• Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
• Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)
• Determine weldability of materials
• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications

Transportation/Travel Information:

• Vehicle supplied by employer
• Willing to travel regularly throughout the GTA

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

• Physically demanding

• Handling heavy materials

• Fast-paced environment

• Attention to detail

• Hand-eye coordination

• Standing for extended periods

• Overtime as required

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, At heights, Noisy, Confined spaces, Dusty

Welding Techniques: Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas Tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), Boilers

Work Setting: Manufacture, Residential, Commercial, Civil (road and bridge construction, etc.), Industrial

Personal suitability: Organized, Flexibility, Team player, Client focus

Equipment and Machinery Experience: Butt or seam resistance welding machine, Arc welding machine, Gas welding machine, Spot welding machine, Soldering machine, Brazing machine

Terms of Employment:

·         Salary: $36 per hour

·         Permanent, Full Time/ 30-40 Hours per week

·         Start date: immediately

·         Benefits: Group Insurance

Skills Requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience:

-          Minimum 1 year of experience
