Leader Family Foods in Leader, SK is looking for a Retail Meat Cutter to join our team.
Position Available: 1
Wage: C$18.00 per hour
Work Hours: 30-40 hours per week (full-time and permanent)
Vacation: 15 days of paid vacation per year OR 5.77% of gross salary for vacation pay
Work Location: 214 1st Ave W, Leader, SK S0N 1H0
Language of Work: English
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
o Clean meats to prepare for cutting
o Cut, trim, bone and prepare standard cuts of meat and poultry for sale at self-serve counters or special cuts of meat according to customers' orders
o Grind and slice meats using powered grinders and slicing machines
o Shape, lace and tie roasts and other meats or poultry
o Weigh meats for sale
o Wrap, package, price, and display prepared meats and poultry
o Ensure the maintenance of equipment, displays and work area
o Ensure food storage conditions are adequate to maintain freshness of products and food safety and sanitation standards are met
Qualifications:
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- On-the-job training in the grocery store is offered.
- Language: English
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor over extended periods
