We’re looking for knowledgeable, experienced, and highly motivated individuals who have great work ethic and enjoy working in a team-focused environment.
Job Duties:
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of mechanical equipment issues both in-shop and at customer sites.
• Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up.
• Comprehension of conveyor dynamics and material handling fundamentals.
• Perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
• Assemble machinery prior to installation.
• Start-up and testing.
• Understand and read engineered blueprints and drawings.
• Shutdown operations.
• Rigging and handling.
• Bearing, seals and packing.
• Keep work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly condition.
• Perform duties and operate equipment in a safe and satisfactory manner.
• Complete all jobs in a timely manner.
• Ensure conveyor belts or systems are working effectively per customer orders and instructions.
• Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors and customers to ensure successful achievement of expectations for performing a safe and high quality conveyor maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.
• Learn about customer relations and conduct oneself professionally at customer sites as a representative of the company.
• Properly identify the basic conveyor system components and troubleshoot.
• Disassemble conveyor system by removing components to gain access to perform splice.
• May help to perform mechanical, step, and finger splices using hot or cold repair procedures.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
• Must be able to work with minimal direction.
• Willingness to travel.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours.
• Willingness and ability to work in remote locations.
Experience Required:
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the industry
• Basic experience with rigging equipment
• Experience in bulk material handling
Education Required:
• Secondary School Certificate
• Completion of Technical School Training or Journeyman Certificate in the Millwright Trade is an asset
Wage & Hours: $39.00
• Number of hours per day: 8
• Number of days per week: 5
• Number of hours per week: 40
• Overtime starts after how many hours: 44
• Shift rotation (as applicable): possible 8-10-12 hours shifts
