Vespa V.E.L Products Ltd. has immediate opening for a Production coordinator (TEER 3: 13201), at our location in Brampton, Ontario.
As a Production coordinator (TEER 0: 13201), you will perform some or all of the following duties:
· Coordinate the movement of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products to support daily production and customer delivery schedules.
· Communicate with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, and customers to arrange pickups, deliveries, and shipment appointments.
· Prepare and review shipping documents, bills of lading, packing slips, customs paperwork, and other transportation records.
· Monitor outgoing and incoming shipments and follow up on delays, shortages, damages, or delivery issues.
· Work closely with production staff to ensure materials are available to meet manufacturing requirements and customer orders.
· Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, shipment status, and transportation activities using computerized systems.
· Assist in scheduling deliveries and coordinating transportation routes to ensure products are shipped on time.
· Verify order details, quantities, and product specifications before shipments are released.
· Support inventory control activities by tracking stock levels and reporting material shortages or discrepancies.
· Liaise with customers regarding order status, shipping schedules, and delivery confirmations.
· Generate reports related to shipping performance, inventory movements, and logistics activities for management review.
· Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure efficient loading, unloading, storage, and dispatch of products.
· Follow company policies and procedures related to workplace safety, quality standards, and inventory control.
· Assist management with process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency in shipping, receiving, and logistics operations.
Qualifications:
· Completion of a post-secondary program of less than two years in business or supply chain management
· 1-2 years of experience in the related field.
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (35 hours/week)
Compensation: CA$ 36.10 /hour
