Term of employment: Full-time, Permanent Position
Job location: Travel across Canada and USA with base at 109 292164 Wagon Wheel Blvd, Rocky View County AB T4A 3P8
Shifts: Weekdays, Weekends, Evenings
Salary: $37.50 per hour for 40 hours per week, overtime after 60 hours per week at the rate of 1.5 times.

Job requirements:

. Credentials: Class 1 or A driver's license with air brake endorsement.
. Education: High School
. Experience: No experience required. On the job training will be provided
. Additional Skills: Basic English is required to understand road signs and fill logbook
. Be able to work in individuals or in a team
. Clean driving abstract

Duties:

. Operate and drive trucks /trailer to transport goods and material to destinations all over Canada and USA.
. Oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, and safety and security of cargo.
. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment.
. Maintain logbook, record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other information in logbook.
. Obtain special permits to cross Canada/USA borders.
. Coordinate with dispatcher.
. Perform emergency roadside repairs.
