JASVINDER SINGH has an immediate opening for a Home Child Care Provider (NOC 44100) to provide care for her child at the family’s private residence in Brampton, Ontario.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe, attentive, and nurturing care for the child and will perform some or all of the following duties:

• Provide attentive and responsible care for the child in the employer’s private residence.
• Supervise the child at all times and ensure the child’s safety, comfort, and well-being.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks appropriate for the child.
• Assist the child with age-appropriate personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and other daily activities as required.
• Establish and maintain a regular daily routine for meals, rest, play, and other activities.
• Plan and organize age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities, including reading, games, crafts, and other recreational activities.
• Encourage the child’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development through age-appropriate activities.
• Monitor the child’s activities and behaviour and provide appropriate guidance in accordance with the parents’ instructions.
• Accompany the child to and from school, appointments, recreational activities, or other activities as required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for the child.
• Perform light housekeeping duties directly related to the child’s care, including cleaning the child’s room and play area, doing the child’s laundry, and cleaning up after the child’s meals and activities.
• Follow the parents’ instructions regarding the child’s daily routine, meals, activities, safety, and care.
• Communicate with the parent regarding the child’s daily activities, behaviour, development, and any concerns.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Previous experience providing childcare may be required.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly in a private household.
• Good oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, dependable, responsible, and caring.
