Highland Feeders Ltd. is a cattle-feeding operation based in Vegreville, Alberta. Through its Floating Stone Ranch Brands division, the company produces and markets premium Canadian beef to distributors, independent retailers, butchers and chefs across Canada and into export markets, including Mexico.
Job Duties
· Manage and grow a portfolio of key customer accounts, including distributors, independent retailers, butchers and chefs across Canada and Mexico
· Prospect and secure new accounts through targeted outreach, product presentations and relationship-building
· Prepare and deliver product information, pricing proposals and sales presentations tailored to customer needs; estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms and delivery dates
· Track customer preferences, forecast orders and ensure inventory and production align with demand
· Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, service issues and delivery coordination; provide post-sale follow-up and resolve product, quality or logistics concerns
· Oversee order fulfilment and transport scheduling so that products arrive with the correct shelf life and temperature control; work with cold-storage partners and carriers to maintain documentation and efficient delivery
· Support export coordination for Mexico-bound shipments, including customs compliance and product integrity
· Maintain CRM records of sales activities, communications and performance; prepare monthly reports, forecasts and account summaries for management
· Participate in production and sales planning meetings to align supply with customer orders; support internal communication between logistics, production and sales
· Develop an in-depth understanding of the beef industry, including cattle sourcing, carcass fabrication and grading, and keep current on market pricing, competitor activity and seasonal trends
Job Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business or agriculture
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in food, meat or protein sales, customer service, or logistics coordination
· Fluency in English (spoken and written); Spanish is an asset
· Valid driver's licence (travel within Western Canada and occasional travel to Mexico is required; a company vehicle is provided)
· Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills; able to work independently and manage multiple accounts
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets and CRM systems; knowledge of cold-chain logistics and supply-chain principles is an asset
