Wolf’s Den Restaurant, a popular restaurant located at 90343 Alaska Highway Whitehorse, YT Y1A 7A1, has immediate vacancy for 1 Kitchen Manager. Position is Full time/Permanent, 30 hrs/week, $21.00/hr. Secondary school education is required. Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline OR several years of experience in food preparation or service are required. Language of work will be English.
Job duties involve:
· Requisition food and kitchen supplies
· Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
· Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
· Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
· Prepare budget and cost estimates
· Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
· Prepare food order summaries for chef
· Must have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres
