Voyager Freightway Inc. has an immediate opening for 2 Mechanic Helper (TEER 5: 75119) at our location in Brampton, Ontario.
As a Mechanic Helper, you will perform some or all of the following duties:
Mechanic Helper performs some or all of the following duties:
· Assist mechanics with repairing, maintaining and servicing trucks, trailers, and other heavy-duty vehicles.
· Assist in inspecting trucks and trailers to identify mechanical issues and report problems to the mechanic.
· Help with routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication, fluid checks, tire servicing, and replacement of filters and parts.
· Assist mechanics with mechanical, electrical, and body repairs of trucks, trailers, and other heavy equipment.
· Support the removal, installation, and replacement of vehicle components, including batteries, brakes, belts, hoses, lights, and other parts.
· Gather, organize, and move tools, equipment, spare parts, and materials to and from the truck repair area.
· Assist with cleaning, preparing, and maintaining the mechanic's work area, tools, and equipment.
· Perform other general labouring and elemental tasks as required in the truck yard and maintenance shop.
Qualifications:
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (35 hours/week)
Compensation: $37.00 per hour
