First Mutual Properties is a local, family owned commercial real estate development and Construction Company. We are currently looking for Construction Labourers & Helpers to join our operations permanently.
These positions will be based in the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM).
Position: Permanent, full time and overtime as needed
Salary: $23.00/hr for minimum of 30 hours per week
Location: Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), Nova Scotia
Education: Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent an asset
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year experience as asset
Job Summary: Under the direction of the Foreman, the team is responsible for performing a variety of heavy manual labour duties on the worksite.
Duties will include but not limited to:
· Forming & placing reinforced concrete footings,
· Installation of ICF block
· Installation of rebar
· Installation of Insulated metal panels,
· Prepare and cleanup construction site,
· Operate general hand tools,
· Unload and move construction materials around the worksite.
· May be responsible for digging, spreading, and levelling of dirt and gravel,
· Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites,
· Clean tools, equipment, materials, and work areas,
· Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour,
· Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
