Construction Electrician Apprentice

Electrocraft Electric Inc. is seeking motivated and reliable Construction Electrician Apprentices to join our growing team in the Greater Toronto Area.

• Hours: 32–40 hours per week

About the Role

Working under the supervision of licensed electricians, the Construction Electrician Apprentice will assist with the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical controls, panel boxes, and electrical components.
• Splice, join, and connect wires and cables.
• Install surface-mounted and overhead electrical wiring systems.
• Test and measure voltage, loads, and circuit integrity.
• Troubleshoot and isolate electrical faults.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and electrical plans.
• Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures.
• Connect power to audio, visual, fire alarm, communication, and lighting systems.
• Ground and bond electrical equipment and systems.
• Complete maintenance reports and related documentation.
• Follow all company safety policies and electrical codes.

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible Construction and Maintenance Electrician Apprentice (309A).
• 1–2 years of related electrical experience.
• College diploma or certificate in electrical studies is an asset.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• WHMIS
• Occupational Health and Safety Training
• Fall Arrest Protection
• Confined Space Entry Training

Work Environment

• Residential and commercial construction sites.
• Work outdoors and indoors.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Dusty and physically demanding environments.
• Travel between job sites may be required.

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Driver's Licence.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites.
• Criminal record check may be required.
• Must possess basic electrical hand tools and appropriate PPE.
