We are now looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team and help us grow our brand and market presence.

 

Position Overview:

As a Business Development Officer, you will play a key role in expanding our market reach, developing strategic partnerships, and driving sales growth. This position requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of the wine industry, hospitality, strong business acumen, and excellent communication skills.

 

Job Title:         Business Development Officer

Work Location:         Oliver, BC

Position Type:         Permanent, Full-Time (30-40 hours per week)

Wage:          $53 per hour

Language of Work:    English

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement business development strategies to increase market share and sales revenue.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and distribution channels.

• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, hospitality partners, and industry influencers.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that drive brand awareness and customer engagement.

• Prepare and present business proposals, reports, and analyses to senior management.

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business development initiatives, making recommendations for improvements.

• Represent the winery at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

• 3-5 years of Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the wine, beverage, or hospitality industry.

• Fluency in English is required.

• Strong understanding of the wine market and industry trends.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify growth opportunities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

• Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
