Energy North Construction is a leading construction company located at 51 Macdonald Road Whitehorse, YT Y1A 4R1. They specialize in providing top-notch insulation and coatings services that include blow-in cellulose, spray foam insulation, renovations, and asbestos work. The company has an immediate vacancy of 1 construction helper. Position is Full-Time, Permanent, $28.00/hour. No formal education required. The applicant must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The job is physically demanding. Some experience as a construction helper will be an asset. Language of work will be English.
Job duties involve:
· Load, unload and transport construction materials
· Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
· Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
· Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
· Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
· Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
· Level earth to fine grade specifications
· Pave and rake asphalt
· Assist in demolishing buildings
· Clean and pile salvaged materials
· Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
· Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
· Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
