Job Description:

Job Title: Development Officer - Fundraising (NOC 11202)

No. of positions: 1

Work Location: Suite-212, 1325 Eglinton Ave E, Mississauga, Ontario L4W 4L9

Term of employment: Full-time, permanent position with minimum 35-40 hours per week

Compensation: $ 80,000.00 per year

Start Date: As soon as possible

Main duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develop all kinds of events for publicity, fundraising and information purposes
  • Evaluate communication strategies and programs
  • Implement communication strategies and programs
  • Prepare written material such as reports, briefs, website content
  • Publicize activities, workshops, meetings and other events for fundraising or information purposes
  • Supervise professional and support staff and students
  • Perform administrative tasks
  • Plan development projects
  • Act as spokesperson for an organization
  • Answer written and oral inquiries
  • Assist in the preparation of brochures, reports, newsletters and other material
  • Co-ordinate special publicity events and promotions
  • Gather, research and prepare communications material
  • Prepare sports, literary, performance or other contracts
  • Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops or symposia
  • Develop and implement business plans
  • Maintain and manage digital database
  • Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff

Requirements:

  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years experience required
  • Language: English

Hybrid:

  • Work must be completed both in person and remotely.
