Job Title: Food Service Manager

Job Duties:

• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the bakery.
• Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
• Recruit staff and oversee staff training.
• Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance.
• Control inventory, monitor revenues, and modify procedures and prices.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
• Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of bakery facilities for events.
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for bakery operations.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards and food handling regulations.
• Oversee quality control for baked goods and customer service standards.

Skills Requirements:

• A college program in hospitality, food service administration, or a related field is an asset but not required.
• At least 3 years of experience as a food service manager or in a supervisory role within the food service sector is required.
• Experience in specialty or ethnic bakery operations would be considered a strong asset.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week)

Language of Work: English

Wage: $37.00 per hour
