 Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Availability

Weekend availability is required. Scheduled shifts will include Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of pizza makers and kitchen support staff during shifts.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee daily pizza production and preparation schedules to ensure timely service and consistent product quality.
  • Ensure all pizzas, sauces, dough, and related menu items are prepared in accordance with standardized recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
  • Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation to maintain brand standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Train new kitchen employees in food preparation techniques, sanitation standards, equipment operation, and workplace safety.
  • Assist in recruiting and participating in the hiring of kitchen staff in coordination with ownership/management.
  • Schedule kitchen staff shifts based on sales volume and operational requirements.
  • Maintain inventory control of food supplies including dough ingredients, toppings, dairy products, meats, vegetables, and packaging materials.
  • Order food and kitchen supplies from approved vendors and verify deliveries for quality and accuracy.
  • Control food costs by minimizing waste, monitoring portion sizes, and implementing proper storage procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial food safety regulations, health inspections, and workplace safety standards.
  • Oversee proper maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen equipment including pizza ovens, prep tables, refrigeration units, and storage areas.
  • Address and resolve kitchen-related operational issues during service.
  • Assist with menu updates, cost analysis, and pricing recommendations for new pizza offerings or promotions.
  • Prepare operational reports related to kitchen performance, inventory usage, and staff productivity.
  • Step in to assist with food preparation during peak hours when necessary.
