Victoria Fujiya Foods Ltd. is looking for a permanent full-time Assistant Cook.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook Japanese meals for bento (boxed meals), deli menus, and other catering menus
- Plan and create new menus and ensure food meets quality standards
- Fill in for or assist the head chef
- Responsible for scheduling and substituting when the head chef is off-duty
- Instruct kitchen helpers
- Clean kitchen and work area
Education, skills and experience required:
- Completion of secondary school
- Minimum 2 years of experience of food preparation in commercial environment
Language: English
Compensation: $21.18/hour, 40.00 hrs/week, 10days paid vacation
