Job Duties
- Arrange and coordinate office administrative procedures and review, evaluate, and implement new procedures
- Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
- Carry out administrative activities associated with dental clinic operations
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and office activities
- Maintain filing systems and clinic records, including electronic and paper documentation
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, invoices, and other administrative documents
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory levels
- Assist in maintaining patient records and ensure confidentiality of information
- Provide general administrative support to dental professionals and office staff
- Answer telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff
Employment Requirements
- Completion of secondary school is required
- Completion of a college program in office administration, business administration, or a related field is an asset
- Previous administrative experience (1 year or more)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office software
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced office environment
