Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics/Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at Quest AV. The Logistics/Warehouse Supervisor will play a pivotal role in our operations, ensuring the efficient and organized management of our inventory, equipment, and materials. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining a safe and productive warehouse environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise, plan, assign and review the work of clerks engaged in the following duties: shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and maintaining inventories of materials, parts and products; processing purchasing transactions; coordinating production work; dispatching crews; scheduling transportation crews and routes; and other related activities
• Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff including drivers
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures for safety and security, standards and regulations in force and participate in their improvement
• Conduct regular safety inspections and report any deficiencies
• Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery and arrange for maintenance and repair work
• Implement and optimize warehouse processes to improve efficiency and productivity
• Resolve various problems and related complaints and implement corrective measures and process improvements
• Maintain accurate inventory records, including overseeing malfunctioning and damaged or unreturned equipment
• Provide onboarding training and other support as required
• Requisition supplies and materials
• Manage/Report on warehouse budgets and cost control measure
• May perform the same duties as workers supervised.

Qualifications:

• Language: English
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience; Completion of a post-secondary education program of two to three years in business, supply chain, production or manufacturing management or a related field an asset but not a condition of employment.
• Experience: At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in supply chain logistics, tracking and scheduling coordination occupations or similar role in a fast-paced environment; Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics; Familiarity with AV equipment and technology is a plus; Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office Suite; Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment; Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities; Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy; Effective communication skills, both written and verbal; Forklift certification is an asset.
