Job Title: Meat Market Manager
Job Duties:
• Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of the meat market and deli.
• Manage staff, assign duties and monitor employee performance.
• Recruit, train and supervise employees.
• Establish work schedules and oversee day-to-day store operations.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to procure meats, deli products and other merchandise for resale.
• Control inventory levels, monitor stock movement and minimize product wastage.
• Plan budgets, monitor revenues and authorize expenditures.
• Evaluate customer service standards and resolve customer complaints.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation and workplace health and safety requirements.
Skills Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in retail, food retail, butcher shop, deli, grocery or restaurant operations, including experience in a supervisory or management role, is required.
• Experience in a meat market, butcher shop, deli, grocery store or specialty food retail environment is considered a strong asset.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week)
Language of Work: English
Wage: $44.00 per hour
